The collection of modern art by top artists.
Very comfortable room, the hotel itself is art. The location is great (very close to Notre Dame).
The location is great, very easy to get to from the eastern townships, very easy access to old Montreal by foot, and the Bell Centre is also within an easy walking distance.
The television was not working while we were there, and without an ipod or other device it was very quiet in the room. I also found the decor in the bathroom to be very cold and institutional and lacking in personality.
We considered the L Hotel to be a signature offering among boutique hotels. The ambiance, decor and fantastic art we enchanting and it was a pleasure to spend my nights there. We cannot say precisely what enjoyed the most as everything is wonderful! Well done! I am already recommending this hotel to my family and friends.
The staff was very professional, pleasent and extremely helpful. Artwork decorating the hotel is much more interesting than what is displayed in most hotels. Location very close to restaurants, galleries, museums and waterfront of old montreal is ideal for walking. Would recommend lhotel to anyone seking an intimant and charming hotel.
The building is lovely and each floor and room is filled with contemporary art work. The staff were all very pleasant and extremely helpful and friendly. We were there with two other couples and all enjoyed our stay. We hope to return again to L'Hotel.
Great art collection. Room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated.
Booked.net did not charge for the room at the time of booking but gave that impression. This caused a little confusion at chech out when the hotel did charge me.
Hotel was orginally a bank and the architecture is very nice. Service was very good. Lobby/sitting area was great for meeting others and relaxing.
Personally I do not like modern art and it was a little jarring to have the good "bones" of the building overpowered by all the modern art. This was my opinion and lovers of this form of art might feel differently.
Incredibly friendly staff.
Room was a little bit dark as only lit by lamps.
Eclectic art collection displayed, genuine friendliness of most of the staff. Very good location, lovely room---the Frank Stella Suite!
Problem with shower, suspicion of manager that we were somehow complicit in it. Not a big deal!
The staff at L'Hotel are some of the nicest people I have ever met. They went above and beyond to meet my every need. The hotel is unique in that there is original contempory art work throughout the hotel. This is a converted bank building with high ceilings and large rooms. My stay was wonderful and I will definately go back if I am in Montreal again.
The staff was great with recommendations. The hotel was close to Notre Dame, the waterfront and a short walk to St. Catherine's Street.
Housekeeping didn't change the sheets - we left a note after the 3rd day.
Excellent, attentive service in a charming boutique hotel! My room was beautiful, peaceful and very comfortable, and the wine bar downstairs was fantastic.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel was beautifully decorated with original art. The staff were very friendly and helpful!
very pleasant, helpful staff. bed and bedding very comfortable. Easy access to old town.
very small bathroom lacking good light. no shelf to put your cosmetics on. Reception is located on path to elevator, you are always in other peoples way...does not make you feel welcomed...
